New shoes, an old sweater, and continued silliness

In the past two weeks Sam has done his best to give up crawling since his walking has gotten a lot better.  He's back in music class and is learning the new songs...still dancing to the beat.  He's started carrying his drum while walking, which makes us think he may want to be in a marching  band someday.
He got his first pair of real shoes today and has already become proficient at untying them, but hasn't mastered standing up in them yet.
Preparations are well underway for his birthday party, which will include his first dose of sugary cake.  Do you have a prediction?

The little guy got a hold of a hunk of bread for some munchin'.

After a bath, got got away wearing the towel and made it into the kitchen.

Hi there, was the door shut for a reason?

While the dads watched football, the kids jumped in a crib.

And they were so cute they got a 2nd photo.

Must...have...more...pear.

Wearing Mom's old sweater, cooooool.

And giving us looks like this...

Hopefully we'll get some marching band footage of drummer Sam soon.  A rum pa pum pum.

At Nordstrom's to get his first pair of walking shoes.

He had to practice to figure out the right pair to get.

...but had to stop and see the fish.

And wanted to play with the balloon.

Mom and Dad are Exhausted

It took 2+ weeks to get a decent photo of the teeth that now poke through Sam's lower gums. Oddly, he's not a huge fan of cooperating for those types of pictures. He doesn't have his two front teeth, but one front tooth and then one off to the side - so it looks like his mouth is crooked.
The kid won't stop moving when awake. He can walk between furniture and people, and is working on being able to stand up using a small item for support. He continues to delight everyone he meets with his charm and laughter. And oh yeah, he's tall and has discovered doorknobs.

He hasn't tried to climb the bookshelf since this event, which is good, because he probably would have gotten to the top and not known how to get back down.

Does that mean I'm -not- supposed to get into this drawer?

It's all good.

We don't remember what was funny, but whatever it was, it worked.

No matter where he is, he can sure drool.

First time eating a whole pear. Well, he didn't -eat- the whole pear but that's how he wanted it.

And after the pear, and the rest of breakfast, he wanted to digest in peace.

He was soon back to his normal self.

He'll be upset with Mom and Dad when he comes across this photo later in life.

Mr. Grinch....anyone?

Ahh, the teeth finally show themselves. Note the camera was above the boy for maximum angle.

Dinner time is his favorite.

CHEEEESE!
