Yet another Double Post

What a busy few weeks it's been. Dad's been at home with Sam for over a week now, and it's not an easy job. But every time the kid wakes up and smiles, or laughs, it's totally worth it. Sam is able to sit up almost entirely on his own, and he's totally trying to get somewhere when he's on his tum. Some neat skills he's developed are transferring objects from one hand to another, playing (and loving) peek-a-boo, and mimicking noises. We're pretty impressed by everything he does, except when he wakes up at 3am.
Dad has just a few more days alone with Sam until Aunt Christina shows up. For as nervous as Dad was about being a sole care provider, it's been a lot easier than expected.

Grandma and Grandpa get one last photo with Sam before they head home.

Motor skills still improving, Sam now reaches for his mobile fish.

At the PEPS group bbq, everyone had a great time, but Sam wasn't in the mood for photos.

Grandma figured out that the Lil Dude likes to hold a blankie when he takes a snooze.

Sam relocates one last toy from his right to his left.

Is this too many toys?

Check out that head lift!

What a happy kid.

Sam in his big boy jammies.
Pull on the bottoms, put on the top, Sam is ready to pajama-de-bop!

He can't hide from the camera!

The first time he had carrots, well, he really didn't have carrots, the bib had the carrots.

Ever the boat-rocker, Sam cuts his first tooth on the top, off to the side.

If you don't think Sam knows he's on film, then you're probably wrong.

Super-cute in that blue hat (and so is Mom)!

Look at how well he sits, and smiles.

(sorry bout the formatting)

When you say "Sam," you've said it all.

Sam is continuing to get bigger and bigger and do more every day. He's almost sitting up entirely on his own, which is pretty surprising considering he hasn't wanted to practice sitting up that much. Nowadays he doesn't like to lay down and will do crunches so he can see what's going on.

Sittin' up in his crib, laughin' with Mom.

Last Friday Sam and Mom went with Grandma and Grandpa on the Water Taxi to Seattle.

and of course Sam got hungry, so Grandma gave him some food.

J Matt reads Sam a new book.

And Sam loves that book, thanks J Matt!

Another giggle fit. Check out the video.

Stretch would like to say a few words.

And he thanks you for your support.

Sam enjoys the puppets that Grandpa got him.

Yeeeeeehaaaaaaaw!

Dad's first time feeding Sam was semi-successful.

Some of the food made it into Sam's mouth.

" Who me?"

" Oh yeah, me. Heh."
