Pix from San Jose

Sam's first bite of cheese. Next up: cheddar, brie, and gouda.

This photo with grandpa instantly became one of Sam's dad's favorites.

He loves photos with Grandma.

Can your 6.5 month old kid do this?

The skills that Sam is developing continue to impress. He's got abs that are wicked-strong, and he's quite the talker. How long before he's crawling? walking? It doesn't matter, every day is something special, and we're just happy that he's here with us.

He and Mom are headed down to San Jose this weekend to remind everyone down there how awesome he is. Sam's been asking when everyone else is going to head back to Sea-town to see him, but we keep on misinterpreting him as saying, "I really like playing with that new rattle."

Hey, what's up dude?

Awww, shucks. Are you looking at me?

In case you're wondering, he got the fish.

Owl hat! Owl hat!

oooooooooooooh, happy day!

What big eyes you have.

I repeat: The Poop is now Firm

Thanks for joining us for a look at the last two weeks of life with Samuel. He's continuing to develop his awesome personality, sit up, strengthen his abs, make friends, smile, and have an all-around good time (in addition to the title of the post). One of the most impressive things from the past few days is that he is now opening his mouth to eat solid food, no force-feeding necessary. He loves sweet potato(e)s, peas, carrots, bananas, avocado(e)s, pears, and apples. We'll continue to add to the repertoire as the weeks go on.
The last nine photos are from our weekend getaway to Lake Chelan with Dad's work. We just got back today (9/9) and we've already uploaded. Booyah!
And oh yeah, check out this funny vid from earlier this week.

Someone didn't get all the peas in his mouth.

Revisiting Aunt Christina's week with the li'l dude. He misses you!

Loking sweet in his crab outfit.

Bath time is still one of his favorite parts of the day.

I mean, come on, can he get any cuter?

Oh, I guess he can.

Bed time, with pajamas from Montana.

Just after we got to the resort on Lake Chelan (at 10:30pm), the kid was surprisingly happy.

The wine tasting tour begins, with the kid on Dad's back.

And in about 10 minutes, he's napping.

Sam and Dad with friends Jordan and his dad Delainy.

Finally up from the nap, Sam is smiling yet again. What a ham.

Dinner time! What a view!

Time to go...Sam and Mom had a fun weekend!

And so did Dad, we'll have to go back again soon.

YAY Technology

First of all, posting weekly is not as easy at it used to be. Sam's 6 month birthday has come and gone...but luckily Aunt Christina was there with her camera, her Mac, and two hours on a flight back to CA.

Check out this photo compilation from the past week. Christina, thanks again for visiting and taking care of Sam, he can't wait to see you again!

Hopefully we'll post some photos from 2 weeks ago soon.

Enjoy your Labor Day.
