Background: Yesterday I got an email with an edited Calvin & Hobbes cartoon from 1993. Being resourceful, I found the original.

So I sent the panel to a coworker with the comment that this would be her daughter in 3 years (the kid just turned 1). She of course sent it to her husband, who responded with a "Stephen in 1986" picture.

It's scary how similar Urkel and I were back then...huge ugly glasses...Short dark hair...precocious! When I saw a TV geek wearing glasses similar to what I had , I should have asked for a new pair. I just hope that this particular style never returns to a store near you, even at a heavy discount.
