The first weekend in Autumn

Why is it that Sam is no longer sleeping through the night? Is it his new teeth that are poking through his gums giving him grief? Is it some unknown owie that he hasn't communicated to us? Or is it simply his desire to see Mom and Dad more often? We don't know. What do you think??

We had a fun weekend. Saturday morning included soccer practice followed by his second music class of the season, and then lots and lots of rest, for everybody. Sam also showed off his sprinting skills in his new skeleton pajamas. Sure, he's been running for months, but we've never video'd it. Sunday included going to the final Mariners game of the season and then the (potentially) final pool party at Matt and Corrie's. While at the ball game, Sam enjoyed dancing to the Village People (which we took video of but then the SD card died!) and searching for the Mariner Moose. Being Kid Appreciation Day at the park meant a bunch of mascots were on hand to celebrate. Any time Sam got close to one he was no longer interested in being near. Case in point near the bottom of the post. In fact, the Rainier Reindeer caused him to cry.

Of course he's happy wearing his new glow-in-the-dark pajamas.

Digger? Check. Rauuul hat? Check. Ready for baseball? Check.

Sam and Dad enjoying some baseball.

The Westerdam is visible behind Mom and Sam as they pose on top of Safeco Field.

Sam was fa-reaked out by Smokey the Bear.

Fun from the final pool party of 2008.
